“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever! Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.” Psalm 107:1,8
My darling Pam,
As we begin the Thanksgiving 2023 holiday, I am so very thankful for you, my dear. Since we were children your humor and wit, your wisdom and counsel, your love and faithfulness have been a guide and roadmap to living for me.
You have pressed in, despite your pain; you have loved, even when it’s inconvenient; you have had a thankful heart, even in the darkest hours and I love you all the more for it.
We barely get a day to reflect upon our lives with thankful hearts until advent is upon us. Along with advent we have our anniversary and your birthday, this time of the year flies by so fast. Our lives have flown by so fast.
For all the times that I failed to stop and holding your hand say thank you, please forgive me. For all the seasons where I thought there was too much to do and I couldn’t slow down, please forgive me. For these days, when I simply want to look at you, hold your hand or hold you in my arms, indulge me, please. I want to relive all of the memories. I want to memorialize all of God’s faithfulness, the steadfast love that has sustained us and the wondrous works that have satisfied us.
I love you more than ever, I am thankful for you and I cherish this day with you as we recount the good things of God in our lives.
Brad
